I finally visited the old missile silo museum outside Cheyenne and the guide's story didn't add up.
He claimed the site was fully decommissioned in 1979, but I saw a fresh concrete pad and new conduit runs near the old blast door. Do you think some of these 'museums' are still active sites with a cover story, or is it just routine maintenance they don't explain?

Check the local utility permits for that area. Sometimes they upgrade power or comms lines to serve new cell towers and use old right-of-ways. That fresh concrete could be for a boring machine launch pit, not anything spooky.
