That 3 day cure time on a warehouse floor nearly cost me the job

Had a 12,000 sq ft floor pour last month and the owner wanted to drive forklifts on it after 24 hours. Took me 4 days of explaining and showing ASTM data to convince him to wait the full week. Has anyone else had to fight a client on cure time like that?

Did your buddy try telling him concrete doesn't care about his schedule?

Wait did your friend end up having to redo the whole floor or what? My buddy had a similar thing where the client let the crew drive a scissor lift on it after 2 days and it left tire marks that wouldn't buff out. He ended up having to grind the whole thing down and re-top it, cost him like 3 grand out of pocket cause the owner refused to pay for it. Clients just don't get that concrete needs time to do its thing, no matter how much you explain the science to them.
