Sealing right after the pour? Big mistake in my case.

It led to widespread blistering on the surface.

Actually, early sealing works fine if you prep the surface right. Bet the moisture was already trapped before you even started.

Seal early only if you're sure the surface is bone dry. I've seen bubbles form even with good prep when humidity was high, like @hill.stella said about timing. Waiting a bit longer always beats fixing a messed-up seal.

Learned this the hard way when I sealed my patio too soon. Bubbles popped up everywhere (you know, like a bad science experiment) and ruined the whole finish. Patience is key, even when you're tempted to just get it done.

After seeing that blistering, @the_jessica's point about trapped moisture hits hard. Sealing right away is basically begging for bubbles. If you cap the surface too soon, the water vapor has no way out. It builds up pressure and blows little holes in the seal. Good prep helps, but timing is everything. Wait for the concrete to stop sweating, or you'll get a polka-dot finish nobody wants.
