Hit 10,000 square feet in one pour last Friday and changed my whole view on crew size

I always thought you needed 5 guys for big slabs but we did it with 3 and some good prep work with a power screed, now I'm wondering how much time I've wasted with too many hands on deck.

So you're saying 3 guys with a power screed did what 5 guys used to do? That's wild. What was the mix like? I've heard the wrong slump can make a power screed a nightmare on a big pour, like it just fights you. Did you have to change anything about your mix design to make it work with less crew?

Kept it around a 4 inch slump, anything wetter and yeah it will just fight you the whole time.

Changed my mind too after running a big slab with a laser screed and a three man crew.
