Figured the same thing until last year when I had a similar disaster with my own patio job. I used to think a few days of rain wouldn't matter much if you let the concrete cure properly, but wow was I wrong. The water sat in the stamped pattern and it all just turned into a muddy, peeling mess. Took me weeks to fix it and even then it never looked right. Now I check the forecast like a hawk before I pour anything, especially stamped stuff. Lesson learned the hard way for sure.

Yeah @harper693 that "muddy peeling mess" part hit close to home lol. I had a similar thing happen with a walkway I poured last spring. Thought a light sprinkle wouldn't hurt but the water pooled in the broom finish and just lifted the whole top layer off. Looked like a bad sunburn peeling after a week. Now I'm obsessive about checking radar too.

Yeah @sageadams I used to think rain was no big deal too but that patio job changed my mind real quick.
