Used to think surface supplied was overkill for shallow harbor work until I watched a 6 month job in San Diego
I always figured scuba was fine for anything under 60 feet, but watching a crew run surface supplied on a pier job last summer changed my mind. The tender could talk to the diver the whole time and swap him out in 10 minutes instead of the 40 minute turnaround we do on tanks. Anyone else switched over after seeing it in person?
