Had a weird epiphany about my drysuit zipper while grocery shopping last Tuesday
I realized after 3 years of struggling with a sticky zipper, the problem wasn't the zipper itself but the way I was crossing my arms to reach it, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has sorted out a simple body mechanic thing that made a huge difference in their dive prep.

Maybe it's just me but I'd rather wrestle a sticky zipper than admit my arm angles were the problem.

My last project I spent a full 20 minutes fighting with a stuck zipper on my gear bag before I finally stopped and adjusted my shoulder angle. Turns out I was fighting my own body mechanics the whole time and the zipper was actually fine. Your mileage may vary but I've learned the hard way it's usually easier to just check the angle first.

Nah I gotta push back on this one. Sometimes a zipper IS actually stuck and body mechanics got nothing to do with it. I've had bags where the teeth were legit misaligned or there was grit jammed in there and no amount of shoulder adjusting was gonna fix it. You can check your angle all day but if the zipper is done for, you're just wasting time in a different way. I think people overthink this stuff sometimes and just need to grab some pliers and yank.
