Had a close call with a silt cloud on a bridge inspection job in Mobile last Tuesday

We were working on the underwater piles for the I-10 bridge, about 30 feet down. My partner was using a hydraulic needle gun and stirred up a massive silt cloud out of nowhere. Visibility went to zero in seconds, and I lost my guideline back to the bell. Had to stay calm, feel my way along the structure, and wait for it to clear, which took almost ten minutes. It was a solid reminder that even routine jobs can get sketchy fast. What's your go-to move when you get caught in a total blackout like that?

Sounds a bit dramatic, honestly.

Last year my team had the same reaction, daniel_wood. We just started with a small test group for two weeks. That kept things simple and proved the idea without the big fuss.

Our marketing team tried that exact small group method last quarter. Took only ten people from the support desk for a week. It cut through all the internal arguments immediately. I get why @cole356 suggests it. When you have a room full of doubters, showing real results works better than any slide deck. That quiet proof changes the whole mood.
