Finally got a full 8-hour bottom time off the rig near Port Fourchon last week

I've been chasing this for like 3 years... trying to build up my gas management and stay calm enough to not burn through my mix. Last Tuesday we had a simple anode swap job on a platform leg, 45 feet down, and I just focused on slow breathing like the old guys told me. Came up with plenty of reserve and the tender said I looked smoother than usual. Anyone else have a specific dive that felt like a turning point for them?

Got a buddy who swears by listening to old country music through his comms to keep his breathing slow... tried it once on a 60 foot pipeline repair and nearly fell asleep down there. The tender kept asking if I was still awake.

Man that 45 foot anode swap sounds exactly like the kind of dive that clicks everything together.

What was the depth rating on those anodes anyway? Matching the right specs to a 45 foot swap can make or break the whole job if the water chemistry is off. Curious if you had to check the manufacturer's data or just went off experience.
