That Wednesday at the comic shop changed my mind about foil variants

I was always a 'read the story first' purist who hated paying extra for shiny covers. But last Wednesday, Mike behind the counter showed me this foil Batman #423 with the blacklight reactive ink, and the way the colors popped under the store's lamp was incredible. Has anyone else gone from hating variants to actually hunting them?
