Tbh, a random chat at the comic shop totally made my week

I went in to grab my new issues and ended up talking with another customer about Silver Age stuff. Ngl, it reminded me why I got into comics in the first place, just sharing that excitement. What's a recent small win you've had as a fan?

See, I kinda hate when that happens to me. I mean, I'm just there to get my books and leave, not get stuck in some long talk I didn't ask for. It just kills my vibe when I'm trying to focus on what I came for. Maybe it's just me but those chats feel more like an interruption than a cool moment.

Actually, I get that too sometimes... my trick is to just be up front about having a hard stop. Last week I told a guy I only had five minutes before I had to pick up my kid, and we ended up having a really tight, fun chat about old X-Men arcs before I bounced. Felt way better than trying to slowly edge away.
