Rant: the guy at my library's free code meetup said my variable names were 'a crime scene'
I showed him my first Python script last month and he pointed at things like x and temp2 and said nobody, including me, would know what they mean in a week. So now I write names like total_price and user_count, and it takes me an extra 10 seconds but I stopped getting lost in my own code. Does anyone else have a naming rule they stick to, like spelling out full words or always adding units?
