Dropped $340 on a tool presetter, and half my setups got slower
Bought a used Zoller Venturion off a guy in Dayton for $340 thinking it would kill my touch-off time on the Haas. For quick one-off jobs it's actually slower, because I still have to pull the tool, set it, log the offset, and walk it back, so I'm losing maybe 10 minutes per short run. On longer production runs it pays for itself, so I get why shops swear by them. What do you all do, presetter for everything, or only when the run is long enough to matter?
