Took me 6 hours to realize my flex rod was bent wrong at the factory
Spent all morning trying to force a 6 inch flex rod through a tight 45 degree turn. Finally stopped to really look at it and saw the damn thing was curved the opposite direction from the factory. Has anyone else gotten a bad rod from a batch that looked fine at first?

A bent rod from the factory is rough, but that's on the manufacturing end. 6 hours is a long time to fight it though, usually you can spot a bad curve by rolling it on a flat surface before you start. Did you check the lot number? Might be worth seeing if others are having the same issue.

Actually wonder if the heat from your hands working it for 6 hours could've made the bend worse over time, never seen anyone mention that. Metal gets soft and wants to stay where you put it once it warms up.

Damn I never even thought of that with the heat from your hands. Always figured a bad rod was a bad rod no matter what, but yeah metal gets soft when you work it that long. Kinda changes my whole view on blaming the factory for everything.
