That $80 chimney camera kit from Amazon was a total waste

Spent $200 on a cordless rotary tool kit to clean tight spots in chimneys, and the battery died after 15 minutes of brushing. Total letdown for a job that usually takes me an hour. What battery-powered tools are you all using that actually hold up?

Man that sucks, lmao. Dewalt 20V brushless has been solid for my chimney work.

Ugh, that's the worst. Seems like everything these days is designed to die right when you actually need it, not just tools but phones, headphones, you name it.

Read an article about planned obsolescence a few months back. Claimed some phone batteries are literally glued in now so you can't swap them. Same with those cheap earbuds. They design the solder joints to fail after like 18 months. It's not your imagination. Everything is built to a price point now, not to last.
