I ditched the push broom for a rotary after 11 years, what took me so long?
Used to spend nearly an hour on every job pushing a broom through the flue, then another 20 minutes scraping the smoke shelf by hand. Got a rotary brush setup for $180 last spring and now I'm done in 25 minutes flat. The first time I ran it on a clay liner in Portland, the dust cloud was still there but my shoulder didn't scream for two days. Anyone else switch tools late and wonder why you fought the old way for that long?
