Unpopular opinion: swapping chicken thighs for drumsticks cut my dinner cost from $4.50 to $2.80
I used to buy boneless chicken thighs every week at the Kroger on Main, but my grocery bill kept creeping up past $60 for just me. Last month I switched to drumsticks at 99 cents a pound and started roasting a whole tray with potatoes and carrots on Sunday, which gets me five dinners for under $15 total. Has anyone else made a switch like this, and what cheap cut did you land on that you actually like better?
