My neighbor keeps calling the Chatter Lounge a bar, and it's driving me up a wall
For the 4th time this month, my neighbor Rick asked if I wanted to grab a drink at the Chatter Lounge down on 3rd Street. I keep telling him it's not a bar, it's a spot where folks just sit and talk about whatever is going on, and he nods like he gets it, then asks again the next time. Last Tuesday he rolled up with a 6 pack ready to go and looked so confused when he saw people just chatting on couches with coffee. The sign out front literally says lounge, no bottles anywhere, and the only thing on the menu is snacks and soda. It's a chill place to unwind and swap stories, not a place to get a buzz, and I feel like that is a pretty big difference. Anyone else got a friend who can't tell the difference between a hangout spot and a bar?
