TIL my 10 year old magic kit was just missing one rubber band, wasted $40 on a new one at a yard sale in Tulsa
Found the missing band stuck to the bottom of my couch cushion an hour after I got home and now I have two identical kits I can't return, has anyone else accidentally duped themselves on something dumb like this?

Read somewhere that people do this with extension cords all the time, buy a new one and then find the old one in a closet. At least you've got a backup rubber band for the next decade.

Found an old rubber band the other day. It was dry and cracked. Fell apart in my hand. @alice269 I got a box of mixed sizes from Amazon. Still find the cheap ones in random coat pockets though. Guess I'm a rubber band hoarder now.
