Showerthought: my old boss said "a kicker saves you 20 minutes" and I finally tested it last week
So I was talking with a guy named Dale who ran a crew for 15 years, and he said pulling a kicker on every room is the move even when the carpet feels tight. I kinda brushed it off for a while. Last Thursday I did a 12x15 bedroom in Reno, and I timed both ways just to see. Kicking it added like 3 minutes on the front end but I didn't have to go back and re-stretch the corner by the door. Has anyone else actually tracked the time on this, or am I just late to the party?
