Can we talk about how I thought power stretchers were overkill until a 14 ft hallway proved me wrong
For years I was a knee kicker guy and figured power stretchers were for big commercial jobs or installers who just liked gadgets. Last month a customer in Dayton had a 14 ft hallway with a bad seam and my knee kick kept leaving a ripple I could not get out, so I rented a stretcher for $40 a day. The carpet locked in flat on the first pull and the seam closed up tight with no gap at the wall. I still use the kicker for closets and small rooms, but I was wrong to write off the big tool for hallways. Any of you only pull out the stretcher past a certain length, or do you run it on almost everything now?
