I told the GC I would not hang cabinets on a Friday, and he fired me on the spot
Last Friday I was set to hang 14 uppers in a kitchen in Boise and told the GC I wanted to wait until Monday so we had a full day to set doors and get the reveals right. He said the homeowner was coming Sunday and told me to just send it. I said no, I have been burned by rush jobs before, and he let me go right there in the driveway. I lost the rest of that job but I kept my name off a set of crooked doors, and I have zero regrets. What do you all do when a GC pushes you to rush a hang you know will look bad?
