Bought a $70 pocket hole jig kit from Rockler and the drill bit snapped on hole 4
I picked up the kit at the Rockler in Minneapolis two months ago for face frames on a built-in. The step bit grabbed and snapped right at the collar on the fourth hole, and Rockler would not take it back since it was 'wear and tear'. I ended up buying a single replacement bit for $18, which means I'm almost halfway to just buying the Kreg one I skipped. Anyone got a bit that actually survives oak, or am I stuck going slow with a corded drill?
