Rented a climate controlled unit for $145 a month, then moved the car to my buddy's barn for free, and I feel dumb
I kept my 1998 Mustang in a "climate controlled" unit off Highway 9 for 14 months at $145 a month, and when I finally pulled the cover off there was still condensation on the roof and a musty smell in the carpet. My buddy said just park it in his barn north of town, so I did, threw a $30 breathable cover on it and a bag of damp rid inside, and after 5 months it looks better than it ever did in that unit. The barn gets cold, sure, but it stays dry and the air actually moves through there. Does anyone else think the whole "climate controlled" label is mostly marketing, or did I just pick a bad place?
