Am I the only one who thinks the REI garage sale bins in Denver are just broken returns now?
Drove 40 minutes to the store on 15th last Saturday and every single bin was full of stuff with missing parts or snapped poles, not the cheap treasures people talk about, so is this just how these sales are everywhere now or did I hit a bad one?

Man, same thing happened to me at the Denver store back in March. I started going right when they open instead of showing up at noon, and that made a big difference since the good stuff gets grabbed in the first 20 minutes. Also check the bins near the back wall by the bikes, nobody digs through those for some reason and I found a basically new backpack there for 30 bucks. The trick is going on a weekday morning if you can swing it, weekends are picked clean by resellers. Not saying it's amazing every time, but I've had way better luck early than late.
