A guy at the REI in Boise said my tent footprint was pointless and I've been rethinking my whole setup since
He asked why I was buying a $45 footprint for a tent with a bathtub floor that already comes up 6 inches. I didn't have an answer. Took it back and put the money into a better sleeping pad instead. Now I'm wondering what other gear I'm carrying just out of habit. What's the one thing you quit bringing after someone pointed out you didn't need it?
