Cleaning a fungus lens with ammonia nearly ate my coatings, peroxide saved it
On a beat up 50mm from a estate sale in Portland I sprayed straight ammonia on the glass and watched the coating bubble in 10 seconds, so I diluted peroxide 50/50 and wiped it clean with zero damage, has anyone else found a safer homebrew for fungus that won't strip the layers?
