Always bought the cheap JIS screwdrivers until one stripped a screw on a $400 lens
I spent like $15 on a 10-pack of random JIS drivers off Amazon and thought I was being smart. Last week I was trying to open up a Canon 50mm 1.4 and the tip twisted right off on a stubborn screw. Ended up spending $45 on a single Vessel driver from a local tool store and it came out no problem. Anybody else find that paying up front for better tools actually saves money in the long run?

And the worst part is now you're out whatever that screw cost to extract or replace on top of the cheap driver. I've got a whole drawer full of busted budget bits that probably add up to more than a proper set would have.

Switched to a ratcheting screwdriver set and never looked back.
