Warning: cheap coax strippers cost me a whole afternoon on a job in Mesa
When I started out in 2009 we all had the same basic two blade stripper and honestly it did the job fine. Last month I grabbed a $9 one from the supply house because mine walked off, and it kept nicking the center conductor on every drop. I burned almost 4 hours re terminating 11 outlets in a house off Baseline Road while the customer watched me over my shoulder. Finally borrowed a guy's old Ideal tool from his van and every single cut came out clean. So what strippers are you all actually using these days, because I'm done trusting whatever is on the shelf.
