The difference in trunk slams after switching to fiber runs is wild

I did my first all-fiber install in a new subdivision near Austin last spring and now going back to old copper houses feels like I'm wrestling a snake in a bucket, has anyone else noticed how much cleaner fiber jobs look start to finish?

Cleaner start to finish" is kind of funny to me because I just spent four hours in a 1970s attic running new copper to a bedroom and the homeowner said it looked "factory." Fiber runs are fragile and you have to treat them like glass or they snap. Copper you can bend, pull, curse at, and it still works. I've also seen fiber installs where the crew left a coil hanging loose behind the ONT and called it a day. Not cleaner, just different problems.

So wait, @shane_fisher37, are you telling me my roll of electrical tape and a prayer doesn't count as "clean" work? Four hours in a 1970s attic sounds like a nightmare, but at least copper gives you some grace when you're tangled up in insulation and old wiring. I've seen fiber guys leave a loose loop hanging like a Christmas ornament, and call it a day, too. You'd think all that "high tech" stuff would come with a little more care, but nope, same old shortcuts.

@shane_fisher37 I'd take a four hour copper attic over a fiber splice any day. At least with copper you can rough it up a bit and it still works. Fiber feels like you're handling a spider web.
