Hit my 50th burnt casserole - starting to see a pattern
I counted up my ruined dinners last night after I pulled another charcoal brick out of the oven. 50 burned meals in two years, which means I'm wrecking about one dish every two weeks. Most of them happen when I get distracted by my phone or the TV and just forget the timer. Anyone else keep a running tally of their kitchen fails or am I just extra stubborn about not learning my lesson?

Friend burned pancakes twice in one morning, gave up, had cereal.

My third attempt at eggs this morning ended up looking like a science experiment gone wrong. @sethhernandez your friend has way more patience than me, I would have quit after the first burned batch. Once I cracked the last egg into a smoking pan I just stood there and laughed at myself. Cereal sounds like a solid life choice honestly, sometimes you gotta know when to fold em. I end up eating cold toast or a granola bar more often than I want to admit on mornings like that.
