My smoke alarm went off at 6:45pm on a Friday and I just stood there
I was trying to make garlic bread under the broiler in my apartment on Maple Street when I walked away to check my phone. Three minutes later the alarm was screaming and the bread was a black brick stuck to the pan. I opened every window, waved a towel at the alarm for five minutes, and ended up scraping the top off with a butter knife so I could still eat the middle. Does anyone else just freeze when the alarm goes off, or do you actually remember to turn the oven off first?
