Saw a trucker reading a book in a 40-minute traffic jam on I-75 last Tuesday
He just had it propped on his steering wheel, totally calm, while everyone else was honking and weaving. Have you ever found something unexpectedly productive to do when you're stuck in gridlock?

Read somewhere that long haul truckers are among the most well read people out there because they spend so much time waiting. Kind of makes sense when you think about it. That guy probably gets through a couple books a week just sitting in traffic and at loading docks. Better use of time than getting mad at something you can't control anyway.

Add audiobooks to that mix and @mark_mitchell they're basically getting a free education on the road.

Are they really reading though or just listening to stuff to pass the time @mark_mitchell? Seems like a big leap from that to saying they're "well read.
