Guy at the tire shop in Reno told me to check my door jam sticker instead of the tire sidewall, and I felt dumb
Last week I got new tires and the guy behind the counter asked what pressure I run, so I said whatever is on the sidewall. He laughed and said that number is just the max the tire can hold, not what my car actually wants. He walked me out to my door jam and showed me the sticker that says 32 psi, and mine were sitting at 41. I had been riding around on rock hard tires for two years and blaming my suspension for the rough ride. Has anyone else been going off the sidewall number this whole time?
