Why does nobody talk about the 2 minute brain dump trick?
I kept skipping my daily log because I felt like I had to write everything neat and organized. Last Tuesday I tried something dumb simple. I set a timer for 2 minutes and just scribbled every task, thought, and worry on a fresh page with zero structure. Then I circled the 3 things that actually mattered and put those in my normal spread. Took maybe 5 minutes total. Now I do it every morning before I even open my weekly layout. It cleared my head way better than any fancy collection I've tried. Has anyone else used a messy first pass like this, or am I just rediscovering something obvious?
That extra 2 minutes is just another way to put off the actual work, and most people don't need another system to feel productive. A timer and a messy page just gives you an excuse to skip the real planning until the afternoon hits.
