Digital vs paper bullet journals I tried both for a year each and here is what settled it for me

I stuck with a digital bullet journal for 12 months and then switched to a paper one for another year and the paper version won because I actually remembered to look at it every day instead of ignoring the app notifications.

Yep! Put it on your nightstand so you see it first thing.

The paper version won because I actually remembered to look at it every day instead of ignoring the app notifications." Man, you hit the nail on the head with that one. I had the exact same problem with my digital bullet journal. It was sitting right there on my phone, but I guess since the notifications felt like another chore, I'd swipe them away and forget. With a paper journal sitting on my desk, I just naturally pick it up when I sit down. No buzzing, no nagging, just a quiet little notebook that doesn't demand anything but still gets looked at. It's weird how a low-tech approach actually works better for me, your mileage may vary but I feel you on this.

Started using a physical journal after my phone kept autocorrecting my bullet points to stuff like "buy milk and cheese" into "buy milk and geese." Took me three days to notice and then I couldn't stop laughing at my shopping list. At least my paper notebook doesn't have a sense of humor.
