Can we talk about dot grid vs lined for a first Buell journal?

I grabbed a lined notebook from Target for $6 because the dot grid ones cost twice as much, and now my habit tracker looks like a grocery list. Half my spreads bleed into each other because I can't line up the columns right. Did anyone else start lined and regret it, or is it just me fighting the paper?
