Saw a crew in Denver frame a whole wall flat on the slab, then tip it up
Was walking my route past a house going up on Logan St and stopped to watch these guys for a bit. They had the whole wall laid out flat on the concrete, nailed it together, then four of them just tipped it up and slid it into place. I always figured you had to build stick by stick in the air. Looked way faster and nobody was up on a ladder wobbling around. Any of you frame walls on the ground like that, or does it only work on smaller runs?
Four guys tipping a whole wall up by hand on Logan St is wild to me. I helped my uncle frame a garage once and we had three of us on a 12 foot section and it still felt like it was gonna fold in half on us. Did they brace it right after or just shove it in place and hope? I'd be sweating the whole time watching that thing come up off the slab.
