Appreciation post: my $2.50 bag of rice cakes finally beat my $9 box of granola bars
I finally did the math in my notebook last week and figured out I was paying about $9 for 12 granola bars that lasted my two kids maybe four days. A $2.50 bag of plain rice cakes plus a jar of peanut butter from Aldi covers the same snack slot for almost two weeks. The thing other people keep getting wrong is thinking cheap snacks have to be sad, when really they just have to be boring enough that nobody eats six at once. What's your go to snack swap that actually held up with kids?
