My break turned into a small disaster when my old coffee mug handle broke off

I was at my desk yesterday, just lifting my favorite chipped mug from Seattle, and the handle snapped clean off. Hot coffee went all over my keyboard and notes. I grabbed a bunch of napkins from the break room and spent the next ten minutes cleaning up the sticky mess. Now I'm using a boring company mug, but it's just not the same. What's your go-to move when something breaks during a quick break?

My Seattle mug disaster involved a full keyboard replacement after the coffee spill fried it. I've learned to keep a cheap backup mug at my desk for exactly this reason. The sentimental ones are now strictly for cold beverages.

Watched my buddy's whole morning get wrecked by a travel tumbler with a faulty lid. He set it down on his workbench, not even hard, and the seal just gave out. Latte went everywhere, right into an open toolbox full of sockets and wrenches. He spent his whole lunch break cleaning and oiling every single tool to stop the rust. Now he checks the lid on any mug like he's defusing a bomb.
