Hit 50 houseplants today without even planning it

I was just counting up my pots for a Saturday watering session and realized I'm at exactly 50. That snuck up on me. Most of them are pothos and snake plants I grabbed from cuttings my neighbor gave me last spring. The milestone matters because I've killed so many plants before, I honestly thought I'd never get past 20. I had to buy a second shelving unit from Target last month to fit them all. Anybody else accidentally end up with way more plants than they meant to have?

You ever look at your plant shelf and wonder if they're secretly multiplying when you're not looking? I swear I walked into my living room yesterday and a new fern was just sitting there like it owned the place. My track record is so bad with keeping things alive that hitting 50 feels like I'm running a plant hospice by accident. The snake plants are the only reason I'm not at zero, they basically thrive on neglect which is my specialty. My neighbor gives me cuttings out of pity because she knows I'll somehow find a way to kill a cactus. At this point I'm convinced my plants are staying alive just to spite me.

Propagation really snuck up on me too, way faster than buying full plants.

Used to think propagating was just for people with too much time on their hands. But then I took a couple cuttings from a friend's pothos and stuck them in a jar of water on my counter. Three weeks later I had roots and it felt like free plants. Now I'm the guy eyeing everyone's succulents at parties. That first successful propagation is like a gateway drug, I swear. It's hard to argue with free when you see how fast they take off.
