Hot take: the lights in a hotel room in Phoenix turned my night photos to orange mush
Stayed at a place near the airport in Phoenix last month and shot some photos of the pool at night, and every single one came out looking like it was dipped in orange soda. I didn't get it at first, then I looked up and counted like 14 warm bulbs around the courtyard, no white ones at all. So I put my phone on that white paper trick where you tap and hold to lock the color, and the shots went back to normal in about 2 minutes. Wish I'd figured that out before I took 40 useless pics of the hot tub. Same thing happened with a lamp in the room, and holding the phone steady against the window frame helped a lot too. Has anyone else run into super yellow hotel lighting like this, and did you just fix it after the fact or find a way to shoot right the first time?
