The day I binged 8 episodes of a show and felt nothing

Last Friday I had the whole day off and decided to finally watch that crime drama everyone's raving about, eight episodes straight with only bathroom breaks. By the end I couldn't even remember the main character's name because the plot was so repetitive and the twists felt fake. Has anyone else had a show that just left you empty after a full day of watching?

Watched a whole season of a fantasy show in one sitting and by episode 6 I was trying to do chores while it played in the background. Got to the finale and realized I'd missed the last two episodes entirely (whoops) because my brain just checked out. That hollow feeling is real, like you ate a whole bag of chips and somehow still feel hungry.

Blew through a whole season of that dragon show last month in two days and by the end I was literally scrolling my phone during the big battle scenes. My brain just tapped out around episode four but I kept going because I wanted to know what happened even though I wasn't paying attention. Then I got to the finale and realized I had no idea who half the characters were or why they were fighting. It's like my eyes were watching but my brain was on vacation somewhere. I ended up rewinding like fifteen times and still missed the plot twist because I was making a sandwich. Bag of chips comparison is perfect, you just keep eating even when you know you're full of nothing but empty calories.

Rewound a season finale three times once and still thought the red herring was the actual villain until I checked the wiki the next morning. At that point I was just watching for the furniture.
