My favorite streaming app glitched during the finale of a show I binged for 3 weeks

I was two minutes from the end of the season finale of 'Deadwood' which I had been watching every night for like 3 weeks straight and the app just froze. Then it kicked me back to the home screen and my watch progress was gone. I tried to reload it three times and each time it started from the beginning of the episode but then froze at the exact same spot. I was so mad I almost threw my phone across the room. Ended up having to watch the last 2 minutes on a shaky YouTube upload someone posted like 8 years ago. Has anyone else had a streaming app totally crap out on them at the worst possible moment?

Man that is brutal. Deadwood is such a great show and to have it cut off two minutes from the end would make me see red. I had something similar happen during the last episode of The Office when Michael was leaving, my Xbox froze right as he was saying goodbye to Jim. I had to restart the whole console and it skipped ahead like 10 minutes so I missed a whole chunk of the emotional scene. It really kills the whole vibe when you're that invested and technology just betrays you. Did you at least get a decent quality from that old YouTube clip or was it all grainy and weird?

Ninety nine percent of YouTube clips are garbage quality, so I bet that Deadwood ending looked like it was filmed on a potato. Honestly maybe the freeze was a favor, saves you from getting all worked up over a show that got canceled anyway.

And it's funny how that's just life now, right? We build up these perfect moments in our heads and something small and stupid always messes it up, like the universe doesn't want us to have nice things without a catch.
