Just blew a whole weekend on a show that went nowhere
I got hooked on this new sci-fi show everyone was talking about, 'Echo Drift'. The first few episodes were great, full of mystery and cool world building. I spent all of last Saturday and Sunday watching it, like 12 hours total. Then the season finale just... ended. No answers, no real plot movement, just a weird cliffhanger that felt like the writers gave up. I feel like I completely wasted my time. It's one thing to set up a second season, but this felt like they just ran out of ideas. Has anyone else been burned by a show that starts strong but totally fizzles out? What should I watch to make up for it?

Used to love those open endings, but this one just felt empty. Need a show that actually goes somewhere.

Honestly that kind of open ending can be pretty cool, lets you imagine what happens next lol. Maybe they're just building up to something huge for season two.

Total waste of time, @wadem89. That's not building hype, it's just lazy writing. Try 'The Silent Fleet' instead, it actually finishes its story.
