A quiet moment at the library last month changed my whole morning

I was at the central branch downtown, just trying to get some work done, and I saw this older guy at the next table. He had a little notebook and was just writing for a solid hour, no phone, no laptop. I mean, I was there with three tabs open and my email pinging. It made me feel so scattered. The next day, I started putting my phone in another room for the first hour after I wake up. It's been about 30 days now and I actually finish my coffee while it's still hot. Has anyone else picked up a small habit from watching a stranger?

Yeah, "powerful little moment" is such a good way to put it. I notice those tiny things all the time, like when a stranger holds a door open just a second longer than they need to. Or when someone really listens instead of just waiting for their turn to talk. Those small choices add up and change the whole feel of a day. It makes me want to pay more attention to creating those moments myself.

Honestly I used to think those moments were too small to matter but you totally changed my mind.
