I finally stopped scrubbing the toilet bowl first and I feel like an idiot
Okay so I'm in the bathroom at my place in Boise rn and I just had a realization that made me want to scream. For like 10 yrs I've been cleaning the bowl first, scrubbing the inside with the brush, then doing the seat and rim and outside. And today I actually watched the brush drip water everywhere while I moved to the seat, and it hit me that I've been cleaning the dirtiest part and then dragging that same brush water onto the parts I sit on and touch. So I flipped it. Outside and seat and lid first with wipes, then the bowl last, brush goes straight into the cup and I wash my hands before I touch anything else. My roommate Sam saw me do it and goes "wait, why did you just do it backwards" and I explained and he just stared at me. I feel dumb but also kind of great? Anyone else flip the order on something basic like this and wonder how you lived the other way for so long?
