Question about the $300 clipper sharpener I bought last month

I got a new sharpener for my main clippers, thinking it would save me time and money on blade replacements. It actually made the blades duller than before, and now I'm out the cash and need new blades anyway. Has anyone had a good experience with a specific sharpener or is sending them out still the better move?

Ever think maybe you just got a bad unit or the wrong model for your blades? My $250 WorkSharp has been perfect for a year now. Sending them out costs me every single time, this thing paid for itself in two months. You have to follow the guide exactly and use the right fluid. A lot of people skip those steps and blame the tool. I would try again before you give up on the whole idea.

Honestly, @jordan_webb has a point about the fluid and guide. Tbh, I rushed it the first time too and messed up a good blade.

Three hundred bucks for a paperweight? Oof.
