Picked up a $40 clipper vs my usual $200 one - kinda surprised me

My Andis Master crapped out mid haircut last Tuesday and I had to run to the local beauty supply in Omaha. They were out of Masters so I grabbed a Wahl Elite Pro on a whim for like 40 bucks. Figured it would be junk but honestly it cut through thick hair way smoother than I expected. Anyone else tried a budget clipper that actually held up better than you thought?

Right?! Grabbed a cheap Andis T-Outliner once and I still use it years later.

Stella said it best with that T-Outliner. My buddy bought one for like $25 and I laughed at him until it outlasted two of my fancy clippers. Wahl Elite Pro is no joke for the price though, my dad has one he uses on our doodle and that thing is a tank. Guess sometimes you pay for the name and not the actual quality. Joke's on us I guess.

It's always the cheap stuff that ends up being the workhorse, isn't it? I had a $20 pair of clippers I found at a flea market that finally died after like a decade, but my expensive ones just sit in the drawer.
