Had to pick between a fresh blade or a good lunch break yesterday

Clientele was backed up and I had to choose between swapping to a new blade for a kid's fade or just running to the deli next door for a quick sandwich. I grabbed the sandwich and the kid screamed the whole time cause the blade was tugging. Never again, my stomach can wait 20 minutes.

Had to pick" is right, but next time grab the sandwich first and change the blade while you're chewing. A fresh blade on an empty stomach beats a full belly and a screaming kid any day.

Three out of five people I know have done this exact thing: skipped lunch to get something done, then regretted it two hours later when they're hangry and the job is half finished. It's like we all have this weird pride in being "too busy to eat" when really we're just terrible at planning ahead. My buddy Mike does it with oil changes, figures he'll grab a bite while his car is up on the lift. Then he's starving by the time the filter is off, rushing through the whole job and dripping oil on his sandwich. The secret is admitting the hunger wins every time, so you might as well feed it first.
